The St. Paddy's day edition we trash Chris, Fruitcast, and anyone else we can get our hands on! We've ditched the video. It was a lark, but at the end of the day we found that it was too distracting and was taking away from the show content.

Originally, I thought that Tee Morris' podcast book beat this one, but this sounds like a podcast only book. Like, no paper...interesting.
The fundamental problem with this story is that this isn't a podcast. There's no RSS feed. The feed is what makes the show 'castable'. This is just direct download audio.
It's official - my quest for a better phrase than 'podcast listeners' has ended. I've decided on two phrases. One to refer to the collective podcast listenership and another to refer to a single podcast listener.

Another 'casting myth under fire. First it was the 'people will love the RSS feed/podcatcher system' and now it's the 'people would prefer to pay a buck or two for a video cast rather than watch commercials'.
We need a name for 'podcast listeners'. I write a ton of articles and blog entries (and hopefully a book soon!) on podcasting and I'm always stumbling over a good name to take the place of the plain old term 'listeners'.

Here's a decent entry by an actual podcaster that talks about (amongst other things) how long a podcast should be. I've read two articles this week that stated a podcast shouldn't be longer than 15 minutes.
I've created an RSS feed that pulls anything out of eBay with the words 'podcast', 'podcasting', or 'podcaster' in the title or description.
